Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Hired Watch (the "Service"), an automated job-search agent that watches job boards, scores postings against your stated criteria using AI, sends you notifications, and can generate tailored resume/cover-letter documents on request. The Service is operated by {{OPERATOR_NAME}} ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What the Service does

You configure search terms, a location/remote preference, and a written description of what you're looking for. On a recurring schedule, the Service retrieves publicly listed job postings matching your searches, uses a third-party AI model to score how well each posting fits your stated criteria, and — if a posting scores above your threshold — sends you a push notification. On request, the Service can also use an AI model to produce a version of your saved resume (and, optionally, a cover letter) tailored to a specific posting, rendered as a PDF and DOCX file you can download, edit, and re-export.

The Service never applies to a job on your behalf. It does not submit applications, message employers or recruiters, or take any action beyond preparing documents and links for you to use manually. Anything you do with a tailored document, or whether you apply at all, is entirely your decision and your responsibility.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.

3. Subscription and billing

The Service is offered on a paid subscription basis, billed through Stripe. A subscription may include a free trial period; if you don't cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged automatically for the first billing period and each renewal thereafter until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal linked in Settings. Cancelling stops future charges but does not retroactively refund amounts already charged, except as required by law or stated otherwise at checkout. If a payment fails, access to search/scoring/tailoring features may be suspended until it's resolved; your account and its data are not deleted for a lapsed subscription — only account deletion (Section 8) removes your data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to circumvent a job board's terms of service, scrape at a volume or manner designed to evade rate limits, or resell access to scraped listings;
  • Attempt to submit job applications, contact employers, or interact with any third-party site through automation built on top of this Service;
  • Feed the scoring or tailoring AI features content designed to manipulate their output (for example, instructions embedded in a resume or job description intended to make the model ignore its task) or otherwise attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the underlying AI providers;
  • Share your account, your notification topic, or your session with anyone else;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes another person's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the resume content, criteria, and any other material you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content — including sending it to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy — solely to operate the Service for you. You represent that Your Content is yours to submit and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

6. Job posting data and AI-generated output

Job postings are collected from public listings on third-party job boards. We don't control, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of any posting, and a posting appearing in your ledger is not an endorsement or guarantee that the job, company, or listed compensation is genuine. Scores, rationales, tailored resumes, and cover letters are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong — they are a drafting aid, not professional advice, and you are solely responsible for reviewing any generated document before using it and for any decision you make based on a score or rationale.

7. Third-party services

Providing the Service means we send data to certain subprocessors, described in detail in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the acts or omissions of those third parties beyond our obligations under applicable law.

8. Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your account row, profile, saved resume and criteria, job history, tailored documents (both the database records and the files themselves), usage records, and cancels/deletes any associated Stripe subscription and customer record and per-user AI provider key. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; export your data first (also available from Settings) if you want a copy. We may suspend or terminate your access for a material breach of these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any job posting, score, or AI-generated document will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, opportunities, or data, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service won't exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of {{JURISDICTION}}, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date; continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.
